My mother lives in a retirement community and a lady has a staff infection on her leg. They all share the washers and dryers, can the staff infection be spread by using these machines after her.Spreading of staff infections in a community used washer and dryers?
no. staph is on almost everyone's skin already. an open wound and (i am convinced) a weakened immune system will allow it entry. staph is no superbug, it is killed by normal things like high temperatures and soap.
