My automatic washer causes house lamps to flicker when the motor starts?

it also causes my sound system to produce low frequency sound, what is the reason for that?, and is it dangerous? My automatic washer causes house lamps to flicker when the motor starts?
Yup, you have wiring problems, which are causing the lights to flicker when the washer starts. You should get an electrician to check it out. The outlet for the washer may be incorrectly wired, or your service drop may be undersized. Or the flicker may be small enough to be considered not a problem, but you should have it checked.

I don't know what you mean by ';produce low frequency sound';... is it 60/120 Hz hum? Or is it a transient that goes away after a fraction of a second? A good sound system should not be bothered by small to medium dips in the line voltage such as you describe.

It is normal for the voltage to vary.

How much, +10% -15%

How much is that, to some people it is nothing to others it is unacceptable!

Have your electrical system checked.

It also depends where you are electrically. How far from the distribution transformer. The closer the more stable, the further the more towards +10-15%

About your stereo, it depends on the design for a good part; also if you operate near clipping it (any system) will make some audible noise during the transition.

Hope this properly answers your question
