Are Marine snipers as good as those people who can shoot a bullet through a washer?

As in, on TV yesterday, they were showing all the gun people who were sharp shooters from the wild west, until today. And they could take a little washer, through it up and the air and shoot right through the middle of that nickle sized hole. And they also showed someone who could shoot and arrow right through another arrow like Robin Hood was potrayed as doing.





Can Marine Force Recon Snipers or Navy SEALS Snipers do that with their rifles?Are Marine snipers as good as those people who can shoot a bullet through a washer?
hard to say where fantasy takes over and reality fades away in the scenario you just outlined for us. one thing for sure, i would not care to be 1000 yards down range from a u.s. marine sniper, give him an obscene gesture, and not expect to get drilled between the eyes. they use, for example, remington 700s, 30-06 or 7.62 nato rounds, with high power scopes, and have been trained to dope the wind and elevation to a fare-thee-well.Are Marine snipers as good as those people who can shoot a bullet through a washer?
I guess the only thing these two groups have is accuracy.





But the showman has the time and a number of slow motion video takes to keep doing it until he get's it 'right'. The sniper doesn't have that luxury, - and has to make it count the first time.

Probably not, but the important thing is that they could kill you from a great distance, which is what their job requires. So what does it matter?
