Broken washer, whirlpool imperial seventy. it wont spin or drain, but it makes a noise like its trying?

im guessing its the belt because when it broke the house clouded with smoke. does this sound right? if so how do i go about gettin a new belt and replacing it? how much will it cost?Broken washer, whirlpool imperial seventy. it wont spin or drain, but it makes a noise like its trying?
Belt is cheap, between $5-10. If the belt is just slipping, there is an adjustment on the motor. Belt part # 95405.http://buyitnow64.stores.yahoo.net/whand鈥?/a>Broken washer, whirlpool imperial seventy. it wont spin or drain, but it makes a noise like its trying?
You need to open the washer up to see what is wrong.
Appliance parts store, 35-40 dollars
