It has a set of metal clips that came attached to the washing machine.How do i stack an older Frigidaire washer and dryer that doesn't use the stacking kit?
I gather it's a front-loading washing machine!
A friend and I did this recently, but we didn't stack the machines directly. We stuck the washer in a corner, built a shelf just above it, and put the dryer on that (with a REALLY GOOD CORNER SUPPORT on the shelf!). The machine came with the kit for a reason. Don't try to be clever. You have to worry about balance, weight etc.I have a unit that was made to stack and I left off one part of it...you would not believe the racket, until I did it properly.

You wouldn't want to see mine because it wouldn't be pretty. It would be a 2x4 or 4x4 frame fitting over the washer that is screwed into the studs of the wall behind the washer.
