Does it save more water if you use a dish washer?

I am single so I do not have alot of dishes to wash. I used to was them all and put them on a drying rack, though I do have a dishwasher. Does it save water though if you just do it all in one load or if you do them by hand?Does it save more water if you use a dish washer?

a dish washer will make your meter spin like crazy. if you don't want to run up your power bill i suggest hand washing.
hmm. really?? i think it saves by doing em all by hand. plus it also saves electricity =]
